Innes is a Singer Songwriter based in London.
Growing up in a musical family meant that Innes was always surrounded by music. Her father, renowned musician and producer Mr. T, with over thirty five years experience in the business, encouraged Innes to explore all kinds of music as a child. Innes started singing at the age of eight, writing songs at the age of sixteen and not long after performing with him.
Innes' music is best described as pop, and is inspired by her life experiences and of those close to her. Innes is writing about love, friendship, growing up and self-discovering, amongst other challenges.
September 2013 saw Innes finish her debut EP, "Where Will You Go", at Sticky Studios, belonging to Jake Gosling who has Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Christina Perri, James Morrison, LeeAnn Rimes in his list of clientele. There Innes worked with young, talented and ambitious producer Adam Coltman, business partner of Jake Gosling.
“We just clicked straight away and worked very fast, recording a song a day. Adam knew exactly what I wanted my songs to sound like.”
Not long after finishing the EP, Innes filmed an official music video for a song "Where Will You Go", the first release of an EP.
Innes' song “Where Will You Go” was broadcast on BBC Introducing in York and North Yorkshire on 17th May 2014 by Jericho Keys .
In May 2014 Innes won a competition for unsigned artists "Richer Unsigned", which earned her a feature in a Q Magazine and a performance at The Pizza Express Pheasantry, music venue in Chelsea. This lead to apperances at numerous London's music venues, such as The Troubadour at Earl's Court, The Bedford in Bahlam, The Underbelly in Hoxton & The Garage in Islington.
Having live performed for over seven years, Innes is also experienced recording artist. She is constantly writing new songs and has a huge repertoire to work with. Before recording her debut EP Innes worked with Steven Williams, producer and owner of Chapel Studios in London, who worked with Tori Amos, Paula Abdul, Leonard Cohen, Van Morrison.
Her second EP 'Friend' has also been recorded at Sticky Studios and has been digitally released in April 2015., alongside a 'FriEND' music video which was broadcast at The SXSW Festival in Austin 2016.
Innes' track 'Friend' was broadcast on BBC London Introducing on 2nd May 2015 by Gary Crowley.
Her third EP 'Stay' was digitally released at the beginning of 2017. and was written and produced at her home studio together with her father. Mr T. Songs from EP 'Stay' got some attention from the radio stations, not just in the UK, but also in America.
Track 'Lies' was picked and played at The Amazing Radio by Shell Zenner in March 2016.
In July 2017. Innes' new single 'Hold On' was released .
Currently Innes is recording her fourth EP and is performing at London's music venues.
